Russell Zimny, President and founder, has served the information technology and telecommunications industry for over 18 years as an IT professional for large to midsized companies as well as technology start-ups. This broad experience as well as the depth of knowledge in critical infrastructure areas provides an exceptional range of business and technology skills. Starting out in Information Technology, Mr. Zimny developed a unique ability to apply technology to business needs. He has worked with many organizations, utilizing technology to maximize their investment. Mr. Zimny designs many solutions around Microsoft technology. His ability to convey technical information in an easy-to-understand manner gives him a distinct advantage in being able to communicate with individuals at all levels within an organization.

Prior to founding ZLan Systems, Mr. Zimny served as Director of IT Operations for Level 3 Communications, formerly Looking Glass Networks. In this role, Mr. Zimny was responsible for the strategic technology planning, design, implementation and support of all the corporate IT systems.

ZLan is comprised of engineers and consultants with deep Microsoft infrastructure technical backgrounds that include full lifecycle management. ZLan staff are all MCSE certified engineers with focuses on Exchange, Active Directory, IIS, SQL, System Center, Virtualization, VMWare and desktop/client management.
