LEMONT PARK DISTRICT

The Lemont Township Park District (LTPD) was ready to expand their services to the community in 2009. Board members and the Executive Director, Brian Sullivan, had a clear vision of what they wanted to provide the township and knew that an overhaul to their current IT system was in order. LTPD hired ZLan Systems to modernize the Information Technologies on their 40 acre campus. Step one was to give a clear analysis of the needs LTPD faced in order to meet their goals. With three buildings, upwards of one hundred and five employees, and a fair amount of real estate to cover, a variety of challenges had to be met.

MacLEAN-FOGG COMPANY

When MacLean-Fogg Company called upon ZLan Systems to assess the IT needs of their global corporation, they already knew they had problems. What they didn’t know was how deep the issues went, what should be done first, and how to fix the aggravating IT problems that were daily plaguing the companies workflow.

MacLean-Fogg is a product manufacturing company with 30 North American production plants, 10 international facilities, annual sales of nearly $800 million, and a worldwide workforce of 4,500 people. Naturally, a company this size already had IT systems and personnel in place, but the current health of their hardware, networks and communications were in a critical state.

The ZLan team came to MacLean-Fogg’s corporate headquarters with their analytical approach and evaluated the company’s IT needs. ZLan methodically went from one system to the next to properly assess all the known problems and using their expertise, uncovered the trouble areas below the surface. Once the analysis was complete, ZLan provided MacLean-Fogg with a dashboard of priorities. They were straightforward about what was working, what was problematic and what needed immediate attention.
